How Candy Corn is Born

I just ate my weight in candy corn and mallowcreme pumpkins. Like I do every year around Halloween. And after Halloween, of course, when the bags are 50% off.

It's a rainy gloomy day and perfect for watching Bravo's 100 Scariest Movies Marathon all day long with zero guilt. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year.

p.s.

i got my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday so i would expect a few percocet-induced posts within the next couple of days.

This cake is bordeline too nasty inside to eat but its almost cute in a 'trying-to-be-scary-but-not' way. Love the different colors for brain matter and tissue... stil trying to make out that the red thing is hovering above it's head. Any thoughts?

So its October

And probably the most bestest time to go looking for ugly cakes! Pretty much any cake meant for Halloween is supposed to be ugly, so this will be a good month for us here at Ugly Sheet Cake. Ironically I'm going to start with a not so ugly sheet cake per sey, its one found by Harlot Fevah and it kind of boggles the mind how much icing is used on this busy cake. It probably weights 12 pounds.

but its still pretty neat how they have a sort of 3-D effect going on and even though its kind of busy it is quite esthetically pleasing.
